BIOGRAPHY

ABAOUT TRINITY

Trinity Arsenault has been a swimmer since she was 5 years old. In 2013 she
made the decision to swim across Lake Ontario. During the summer of 2014
Trinity swam both Lake Erie and Lake Ontario successfully. These feats
provided her with 4 world records on these lakes, including being the youngest to
successfully swim both.
After swimming across Lake Erie and Lake Ontario Trinity, lead a group of
her teammates on an epic world record swim in Lake Ontario in 2015.
The group swimming the lake achieved a world record for the most KM’s
swam in a 24 hour period on August 31 - September 1, 2015.
In 2016, Trinity will be attempting to swim across the English Channel
and will be the youngest Canadian to reach this level of performance in
over 40 years.
The youngest Canadian currently to swim the English Channel is
Cincy Nichols, she was 17 at the time. Trinity will be 16 years old and
obtain the record of being the youngest Canadian to swim across the
English Channel.
Through her work with the Always, Like a Girl Campaign and YOP Fuels,
Trinity has been an inspiration for other girls her age. She is an
amazing role model for young persons across Canada who want to
learn how to break through barriers and overcome limitations.
Trinity has been swimming the last 4 years to support and raise
funds and awareness for Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charities. Trinity
comes from a single parent family and knows the challenges of
getting into good, quality programs. She wants to see kids able
to get into the sport of their choice and loves the work of
Jumpstart across Canada.
She is even more proud of the fact that Canadian Jumpstart
Charities began here in Niagara. It’s a program that has reached
close to 1 million children across Canada!
