This year will be the first attempt from a Canadian to break Cynthia (Cindy) Nichols record set in 1975 on the English Channel.  Cindy Nichols established a Canadian Record on the English Channel in 1975, she was 17 years old at the time she swam.  Trinity Arsenault, of St. Catharines, Ontario is going to swim across the English Channel in September of 2016.

Trinity’s Pilot is none other than the Michael Oram.  Michael Oram was a huge support for Trinity’s mom in 2010 and 2011 when she was preparing for her Lake Ontario crossing.  He is considered one of the best pilots on the English Channel- as well as his son and brother-in-law.
